Safeguarding, studying and sharing the work of the Milanese painter Angelo Marchetti (1930–2000).
The Associazione d'Artisti Angelo Marchetti — ADAAM, also established as a Cultural and Artistic Centre — was founded to protect the artist's work and bring it to wider attention, gathering collectors, scholars and enthusiasts around his figure. It is the association that today maintains this site and conducts the documentary research on Marchetti's oeuvre.
Founded in 2012 and chaired by the artist's son, the association is non-political, non-partisan and non-denominational, not-for-profit and of unlimited duration. It is based in Cavenago di Brianza (MB) from 2024.
Our Aims
The association's activity follows several complementary lines:
- to promote and share Angelo Marchetti's work, fostering knowledge of it among the public and scholars alike;
- to bring together collectors and devotees of his work, encouraging encounter and exchange;
- to encourage and support young artists;
- to organise exhibitions, lectures and conferences devoted to the artist and his context.
The Site as the Association's Instrument
This site is the space through which the association gathers and orders the documentation on the work, oversees its dissemination, and stays in contact with those who own, study or wish to discover Marchetti's paintings. The archive is constantly being updated: anyone who holds works, photographs, catalogues or testimonies is invited to let us know, contributing to the reconstruction of the artist's corpus.
Structure and Governance
The association is organised into the bodies provided for by its statute: the Members' Assembly, the Chairman, the Vice-Chairman, the Executive Council and the Secretary. The rules of operation, the aims and the criteria for membership are set out in the statute, available for download below.
